Visa
Hungary is part of the Schengen Area of 29 European countries. A valid passport is sufficient for non-Schengen EU, USA, and Canadian citizens to enter Hungary. Citizens of other countries should check whether a visa is needed for them when entering Hungary (for more information, please visit the home page of the Hungarian Consular Service. Visas issued by one of the Schengen Member States may be used to enter and stay in Hungary, while visas issued by Hungarian authorities are – as a general rule – also valid for the entire Schengen Area. Please apply in due time for a Schengen visa if necessary, and note that visa application takes 30-60 days, and the personal procedure is mandatory.
Invitation letter: The Conference Secretariat will issue invitation letters for visa applications on your request. Please note: invitations will be sent only upon fully completed and pre-paid registrations. Travel to Budapest
By Plane: Budapest is exceptionally well-connected, offering direct flights to most European capitals and major international cities, as well as global travel hubs. Most major airlines operate in Budapest, complemented by several low-cost carriers providing frequent service to large European destinations. As a result, Budapest is easily accessible from virtually any point in the world. Liszt Ferenc International Airport (formerly Ferihegy Airport) is located approximately 28 kilometers from the city center and operates two modern passenger terminals, ensuring convenient and efficient access for international travelers.
By Train: Budapest is connected to the European railway system. There are direct railway links between Budapest and several capital cities of Europe, and 47 international scheduled trains arrive daily in Budapest. Many international trains have dining and sleeping cars or couchettes. Most international express trains arrive and depart from the Eastern (Keleti) Railway Station.

Public Transport
- The 100E Airport Express bus to the city center, Deák Ferenc tér (with two drop-off points at Kálvin tér and at Astoria) departs every 30 minutes from the airport. See details
- The 200E bus line for eight stops, change to metro line No. 3 (blue line) for ten stops („Deák Ferenc tér”). From Deák Ferenc tér, walk 2 minutes to the Kempinski Hotel. See directions
Shuttle Bus
- The miniBUD service offers reasonable rates for passengers from the airport to the event venue or inner city hotels. The one-way transfer is around 25 EUR, and the return transfer is around 45 EUR.

Taxi
- To avoid any inconvenience, please use any of the recommended taxi companies. Please note that all licensed Budapest taxi companies have yellow cabs and uniform fares for all companies, which are clearly visible on the screens. You should be advised that taking the offers of non-contracted taxi companies and individuals offering their services inside the airport terminal building may pose risks. Fares should be around 27-35 EUR per route (airport-city center) per car. Bank card payment is available in most taxi cabs.
